The Administrative Structure of the Unit

  1. Supervisor of the Unit of Bee Research and Honey Production

One of the faculty members of the university is nominated by his excellency the Vice-Chancellor for graduate studies and scientific research and issues the decision of assigning him from the rector of the university and is administratively associated with his excellency the Vice-Chancellor for graduate studies and scientific research, and has the following powers and responsibilities:

  • Responsible before the university's under-uecretary for graduate gtudies and scientific research on all matters related to the unit.
  • Responsible for implementing planning, regulatory and supervisory strategies in the field of bee science.
  • Exercise all financial and administrative powers of the unit in accordance with the system.
  • Preparing the plan of the unit and following up its implementation with the concerned authorities.
  • Contact all different sectors of the university in relation to the work of the unit.
  • Participation in the university’s higher organizational committees related to the unit’s field.
  • Providing a periodic appreciation to his excellency the vice chancellor for graduate studies and scientific research on the progress of the work.
  • Raising the authority to the needs of the unit.
  1. Deputy Supervisor of the Bee Research and Honey Production Unit
  2. A qualified university employee nominated by the supervisor of the unit and linked administratively to his contentment, and the decision to assign him from the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research is issued and he (Deputy Supervisor) has the following powers and responsibilities:

  • Responsible in front of the supervisor of the bee research and honey production unit for all matters related to management.
  • Responsible for distributing the work to the employees of the administration and follow up its implementation.
  • Managing all financial and administrative matters of the employees of the unit.
  • Nominating staff to attend courses inside and outside the university.
  • Supervising the attendance and departure of the staff of the unit and informing the supervisor for absence and late attendance of employees.
  • He does the work of the supervisor of the unit and exercises all his powers in his (Supervisor) absence.
  1. Administrative and scientific departments:

The unit consists of a group of internal departments staffed by a number of faculty members, administrators and technicians to implement the objectives and policies of the unit and all its general tasks, and is assigned its responsibility by his excellency the supervisor of the unit on the recommendation of the deputy supervisor of the unit, and the departments  are:

A. Department of Research and Scientific Affairs:

It includes all related research and scientific affairs such as research projects, scientific partnerships, scientific cooperation with other entities, education, training and community service, as well as bee research and products and everything related to bee science (bee diseases, beekeeping, honey analysis).

B. Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs:

An administrative department linked to the deputy supervisor of the unit, whose goal is to control the procedures for financial transactions and incoming and outgoing transactions for the unit and archive it electronically for reference at the time of need and its tasks are as follows:

  • Receive incoming mail through the Administrative Communications System.
  • Transferring incoming mail to the relevant department or presenting it to the supervisor or deputy.
  • Receiving internal, external and confidential transactions.
  • Transferring electronic transactions to the relevant authorities after taking guidance about them.
  • Sending outgoing transactions to relevant authorities after they are archived.
  • Providing the authorities with a copy of the transactions as directed and as per the topic.
  • Maintaining and organizing records and files.
  • Finalizing financial procedures from contracts, purchases and accounting transactions for research projects in accordance with the regulations.
